Luna Split-Charge kit

The
Split-charge kit will monitor the state of your
batteries and the charging source. Connection is
automatic, so you don't have to remember to connect your
auxiliary battery whilst driving. The Split-charge
controller will automatically |

isolate the auxiliary battery when the batteries are no
longer receiving a charge voltage.
The
Split-charge kit consists of: Intelligent solenoid, Dual
battery monitor, plug-in monitor cable, 6m each 16mm
black and red double insulated cable, in-line power
fuses, battery terminals, screws, lugs, cable ties and
full installation guide.
This
kit has everything you need for a D-I-Y split charge
installation. For non-standard installations, higher
gauge cable is available up to 35mm. Batteries are

Intelligent
Solenoid
The
Intelligent Solenoid is the heart of the split-charge
system and can be used as a stand-alone isolator. This
device monitors both MAIN and AUXILIARY batteries in a
vehicle and |
|
connects the auxiliary battery when the main battery is
receiving sufficient charge. The isolator is automatic,
no input is required from the user. Voltage sensing,
timing and all calculations are done internally.
Important safety features and parameters have been
pre-programmed into the operation of this system.
This system does
not interfere with existing vehicle wiring.
No
ignition wire is required.
The
Intelligent solenoid is supplied with a basic hardware
kit and manual. Batteries, cables and terminals are not

Portable
Power Pack
The
new Portable Power Pack from National Luna has
been designed from the ground up to be a fully portable,
plug-in remote power source. The Power Pack is built
from durable plastic, with slide-lock lid and
|
|
features a full split-charge isolator built-in as well
as extra over-load protection. Simply locate the Power
Pack in a convenient position and connect the cables to
your existing vehicle battery. Installation couldn't be
simpler. Electronics in the Battery Box are completely
isolated from the battery compartment, ensuring that
there is no risk of damage from leaking or gassing
batteries. The Battery box features built-in battery
monitors with low and high voltage alarms as well as
charging voltage indication. If your Battery Box is
stuck away and the control panel is not visible,
provision has been made to attach a remote Dual Battery
monitor which can be mounted on the dash and will
display the status of both main and auxiliary batteries.
Now
you can share a Dual-battery system between multiple
vehicles, trailers and caravans. The box is equipped
with fuse-protected outputs, including: Hella, Cigarette
connector and Anderson plugs.
The
Battery Box comes standard with 7m of black and red
double-insulated cable with polarised connector, in-line
power fuse, battery hold-down bracket, battery terminals
and an assortment of crimp-lugs.
Dual Battery monitor and extra cable are
available separately. |

Dual battery monitor

Designed especially for dual battery
12-volt and 24-volt systems, this monitor measures two
batteries at the same time. The Dual battery monitor has
all the features of the |
|
single monitor, but has two separate
displays with over-charge and excessive-discharge
alarms. Each of the two displays has their own alarms
which can be turned off independently of each other. The
two displays can also be turned off independently. This
monitor can be used with almost any existing
dual-battery system.
This monitor has an independent-negative
system, and is perfect for two-battery 24-volt systems.

Dual battery controller

This version of the Dual Battery Monitor
is a companion to the National Luna split-charge system.
The monitor is supplied with a removeable cable which
connects to |

either the Intelligent Solenoid or
Portable Power Pack, no other wiring is necessary. The
monitor uses high-accuracy digital technology to measure
your batteries several times per second and display
battery status in an easy-to-read manner. This monitor
is also compatible with older versions of the National
Luna split-charge system.
Featuring over-charge and
excessive-discharge detection, visual and audible alarm,
alarm silence, SLEEP mode and timer override facility.
All packed into a compact, stylish package. The plug-in
cable is available in 3 meter or 6 meter lengths. |
